This position is part of the refurbishment program of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, a large-scale project involving tunnel construction, deep-water intake systems, and advanced engineering works near an active nuclear facility.

Project Overview – High-Value Infrastructure

The project includes complex and strategic operations in heavy civil construction:

• ✔ Construction of a 1.5 km tunnel using a pressurized TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine).
• ✔ Development of onshore and offshore vertical shafts.
• ✔ Installation of a modular offshore intake structure.
• ✔ Execution in a highly regulated nuclear environment requiring strict safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Superintendent, you will lead on-site operations and ensure the successful delivery of the project by managing teams, resources, and timelines.

• ✔ Supervise subcontractor teams and coordinate daily site activities.
• ✔ Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards and conduct safety inspections.
• ✔ Manage all construction operations in line with plans, specifications, and regulations.
• ✔ Ensure quality control and compliance with industry best practices.
• ✔ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• ✔ Monitor project costs, labor, materials, and equipment.
• ✔ Maintain detailed construction reports and documentation.
